Thomas J. Fee, IAAI-CFI, CCAI-CFI
Mr. Fee has been involved in the field of Fire, Fraud and Explosive investigations for over 40 years. He retired from the Pomona Fire Department after 28 years of service. He worked in the arson/bomb unit for 25 years and was the supervisor for that unit for 15 years.
As Chairperson of the California State Fire Training Advisory, he was instrumental in the development of the State Fire Training Curriculum for Fire and Arson Investigation Certification courses 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B. As a member of the California Fire Chief’s organization, he was their representative for three years on the Governors Arson Task Force Committee. He holds a lifetime California Teaching Credential and taught classes at the College level in excess of twenty five years in the areas of Fire Suppression, Fire Prevention, Fire/Arson Investigation, Fire Death and Bomb Investigation.
Mr. Fee has been a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators for over 40 years, served two terms as President and has chaired or been active on numerous committees such as the EP&G committee, the Education and Training Committee, the Seminar Site Selection Committee, the Appellate Review Committee and others. He has also been a member of the California Conference of Arson Investigators since 1970, served as President in 1991, has chaired and is current chair of the Training Committee as well as actively involved in many other committees. Mr. Fee is a Certified Fire Investigator with both IAAI and CCAI.
